The United States Army Recruiting Command is warning Americans about a new scam appearing in text messages across the country.
The text messages will state that a military draft is occurring and the recipient must report for duty or face legal action and financial consequences.
The messages may or may not have a number to call, but usually include an address to a nearby recruiting station, according to the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office.
